In order to develop an honest friendship/relationship with Him, we must confess our faults. Cleansing our hearts creating a place with in our temple, He can dwell. In our daily friendships, with in our social circle, sharing our honest feelings, builds a place of trust and sincerity……These strategies help build us as individuals. If we are not honest with ourselves and God; we can not grow in His word which can hinder our blessings. I remember having bitterness, anger, and animosity toward someone who offended me deeply. My feelings did not hurt or harm that individual; they just went on with their lives. But my own feelings hurt me; kept me from moving forward and receiving my blessings. Once I forgave, the burden was lifted because I gave it to God. When we harbor negativity with in our hearts,God does not hear our prayers and our friendship with God can not grow. Therefore, it is important to confess our sins, to God, our Lord and Savior, and discuss our feelings of disappointment or bitterness with the person who may have caused us discourse in some way or another. This will cleanse our hearts, showing respect and value in God’s word so our friendship with God will grow.
