We can’t be “Bed Side Baptist”…. Noted Christians feel they don’t need the church to believe and that may be so. However, we as Christians are required to be doers of the word; not to sit back expecting benefit without a sacrifice. PDL Day 15 states that we need to be more than just BELIEVERS. We need to BELONG…. To belong to a church, a vessel of God, is to be accountable, to have an active commitment and responsibility to A church home. As a result, the Lead Shepherds become guards over our salvation; praying for us, guiding us to live upstanding lives, when we commit to God and our church family. Not being connected leaves room for the enemy. If we are detached from a church home, it gives satan the ability to attack where there is no coverings. The analogy presented was “It’s like couples living together, but don’t want to commit to marriage”….

Does my level of involvement in my local church demonstrate that I love and am committed to God’s family? Well, I would say no!! There is always more I could do to demonstrate that I love and am committed to God’s family. I have plans and goals to attend more Sunday School and possible teach a class one day. I have become more active in the health ministry and have always been active in the media / technology ministry.
There is always more work to do, and I want to be that example for my kids. They also need to demonstrate their love for GOD thru the church. I have to model that and normalize that for my kids sake.
