Deny Ourselves
Denying ourselves is something that is permissible but not beneficial. It is communicating with our intentions, our attitudes and our body language that we are willing to deny ourselves. ~ excerpt from Made to Crave
How do we do this? Yes, “Deny Ourselves” from what is not healthy!
Let’s try telling ourselves NO and learn to make wiser choices daily. Also, becoming a person of self-discipline which honors God and helps us live the godly characteristic of self-control.
The fruits of the Spirit (evidence of God’s Spirit in us). Here is a list of godly characteristics:
But “self-control” is hard when it comes to food. We don’t like to deny ourselves. There is a power available to us that goes way beyond our self-control...LIVING BY THE SPIRIT! Click To Tweet
ie. Listen to the Holy Spirit and not the nudge of feeling deprived. Don’t eat it, if it is not beneficial to YOUR VICTORY!
Galatians 5:16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. WHOA! Now that is a good one.
Prayer – Father we come to You right now giving you all the praises and the glory! Dear Lord, we feel deprived when we can’t eat what we want. Lord we ask You right now to take away that spirit of deprivation! Father help us to have confidence to choose what is healthier for our bodies! Lord we need more love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control in our lives. We ask You right now Lord to bestow every fruit of the spirit within us so we can walk by the Spirit and not carry out the desires of the flesh! Hallelujah! Thank You Lord in advance for the Godly Characteristics that will change our hearts and minds to do Your will! We know that You will move in the atmosphere! We declare and decree these many blessings in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit! Amen!
I’m Liz Prince a former military brat. Currently, I reside in University Park, MD with my wonderful Husband, Rodney and two handsome sons, Jalen and Jordan. Currently, I work for NASA Goddard Space Flight Center for the Data Management Team. My passion for being healthy started with my own battle in 2009. I felt a strong desire to conquer this battle. As I pursued every thing imaginable, I came across this wonderful Ministry in April 2016. And I have not turned back since. I was asked to be apart of the team and it has been so rewarding to help others get healthy and remain healthy.
