Vega One Plant Based Protein Shake

Vega One proteins come in an array flavors.

My favorite is Mocha (if you like coffee – this is a great flavor for you). I also enjoy Vanilla Chai, Chocolate or Mixed Berry


Their protein powders include:


  • a serving of greens (great you don’t have to eat them, you can drink them)
  • probitoics,
  • prebiotics, 
  • 20 grams of plant protein
  • fiber
  • omega 3’s 
  • no added sugar
  • vegan status
  • gluten free
  • no soy, no dairy

Do not buy the premade shakes, they are full of sugar.  Buy the powder, not the pre-mixed version.  I also purchased the packets initially vs. the tub, so that I can find my favorite flavor.


Here’s how I prepare my shake, no matter the flavor I take the same steps

Ingredients
  1. 1 Scoop of Vega One Protein Powder
  2. 1 Banana
  3. Ice
  4. 6-8 ounces of water (okay to use coconut or event a nut milk)
  5. OPTIONAL: Additional Greens, I sometimes add 1 cup of Spinach to the smoothies
Instructions
  1. Add ice to the blender (The more ice you use - the Thicker the Smoothie)
  2. Add Water to the blender
  3. Add banana next (I break in 2)
  4. Add powder (always add last, NEVER 1st)
  5. Blend until you reach your desired consistency (The longer you blend the smoother the taste)
Notes
  1. If your smoothie is too thin, add more ice (but realize this may water down the taste). Sometimes I add more fruit, so if a banana is included already, I add a cup of blueberries or strawberries to bulk up the smoothie. You can also add 1/4 cup of oatmeal to help feel full.
  2. You can also use frozen fruit to help bulk, but you don't taste the full flavor of the fruits when frozen.
  3. If your smoothie is too thick, add more water or nut milk of choice

    I’m in love ๐Ÿ˜. This is soooo GOOD. This is definitely worth trying. You can tast the berries and with the banana it has the consistency of a milk shake without the milk.

    I have been using this brand for quite some time and I love the fact that it coms with greens already in the smoothie. Glad to see that FFF likes this plant based brand as well!
