WELCOME TO INSPIRATION NATION
WHERE WE WILL REVIEW 1 chapter of JOYCE MEYER’s book, “The Battlefield of the Mind” each day during APRIL!
The Cliff Notes from today’s reading:
“Chapter 17: I DON’T WANT THE RESPONSIBILITY“
I think this chapter may be my favorite. It basically asks two important questions…Why do we often not reach the goals we originally set? How do we get from where we are to where we want to be? When sitting back thinking of the answers, I started blaming others & not my own actions and thoughts. The first two sentences of the chapter sums it up: “Responsibility is often defined as our response to God’s ability. To be responsible is to respond to the opportunities that God has placed in front of us.”
1: PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY CAN’T BE DELEGATED
At times we expect others to do the work needed to reach OUR goals so we can use them as our excuse for not completing what God intends us to do.
2: GO TO THE ANT
Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider her ways & be wise Proverbs 6:6-11
A lazy mindset can keep you in a place God did not intend for you to be in.
3: WORK YOUR BLESSING
There is a responsibility that goes along with the blessing. So put in the work:
-Get up and Go, the time is now
-Be prepared
-Use what you are given
-Cast your cares not responsibility
KEY TAKE-A-WAYS from Chapter 17: I DON’T WANT THE RESPONSIBILITY
1. Begin thinking of what kinds of baby steps you need to take in order to see your goals become reality
2. Don’t wait for someone else to do ‘this’ for you. Don’t blame your past or your present life experiences for your lack of movement toward these goals.
3. Pray. Ask for wisdom. And start walking in the right direction.
DIVA ASSIGNMENT:

Hi my name is Wanda Howard. I currently reside in Silver Spring, MD with my I very supporting & loving husband, Ken and my very beautiful & caring daughter, Kayia. I was welcomed to the FFF family in January 2015, when I realize my Temple was worth more than how I was treating it! What a journey……..It took a broken foot and several health issues before I realized that I needed to do away with all my excuses and make a drastic change in my nutrition to experience any weight loss success. The journey God’s taking me on is equipping me with tools and knowledge to help others reach their goals and I am loving it! Deuteronomy 2:3 You have circled this mountain long enough. Now turn north!!!
For the past two weeks I have made a concerted effort to do what God has called me to do in this journey. I was stressed a few weeks ago. I was literally trying to sabotage my success. But I regrouped and I love it. This group has really kept me focused. I love having the accountability. I am forever successful!
So glad to hear you regrouped, Liz. Your faith will continue to be tried so be ready and keep pushing.
If it wasn’t for this group and the awesome Coaches with all the encouragement and unselfish support I would still be eating unhealthy foods, not exercising. But to God be the Glory!!!! I’m meal prepping weekly and exercising.
It’s great to hear you appreciate the coaches but give yourself some credit too diva. Many divas received the same level of support but it’s up to you to take in the lessons and put it into action. Cheers to you for your execution. 😊
I’m very comfortable in my comfort zone..it’s so safe, at least that’s how I justify it. But…I’ve made a conscious effort to pray about all things and be obedient to what the Lord is leading me to do.
Go coach Cel! Obedience is better than sacrifice.
Here are thr baby steps I’ve made since starting thus challenge: getting up early to allow more time to prepare for the day, meal prepping, keeping up with this reading and reflection on the lessons, staying connected to the group because the ladies are a constant inspiration to keep pushing and figuring out ways to add more activity every day whether it’s walking during a break at work on or walking the neighborhood as soon as I get home from work. He’s blessing me to uphold these each week.
Now this chapter right here, it resonated with me on many points both the ant and men with the talents are scripture that put 🔥 under me on plenty of occasions. God used my husband to tell me that I didn’t like responsibility, I TOTALLY didn’t realize that and thankful that I received it and didn’t get offensive and disregard the message. Now I have the capacity to operate differently because I am aware of it. I am reminded of that any time I sway in that direction.
My take away, learn to cast your care, but not your responsibility.
