Turkey Salsa Burger

You’ve NEVER had a turkey burger this tasty and this JUICY!!! This is a must try sisters!!  Like, seriously, tomorrow, grab the ingredients and report back!

Make Your Own Salsa with the ingredients below OR use Trader Joe’s Pico De Gallo Mild Salsa to save time (click here)!

2 medium tomato (finely chopped)

1 c. loosely packed chopped cilantro leaves

1/4 cup Chopped red onion

2 tbsp. minced jalapeΓ±o (seeds removed)

juice of 1 lime

1tsp. coarse salt (Kosher or pink salts are okay)

Burger:

8oz. ground turkey

1/2 tsp. chili powder

1/2 tsp. coarse salt

2 large butter or romaine lettuce (Iceburg lettuce has no nutritional value)

Salsa

Combine all ingredients, mix and set aside

Prepare Burgers

Combine the ground turkey, chili powder, salt and 1/2 cup of tomato salsa mixture

Form into 2 patties

Heat olive oil in a nonstick skillet over medium high heat

Cook burgers, flipping once, until browned

Serve with remaining salsa and more cilantro

NOTE:
Feel free to use sugar free ketchup, any mustard of preference, add any veggies you like and ΒΌ of an avocado. Avocado can be mashed and used as mayo or added on top of meat.
